Use a slow cooker to make this cozy & comforting mulled wine with just the right balance of sweetness and spicy citrus flavors. Delicious winter hygge! Perfect for potlucks and gatherings of friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 bottle vegan red wine (I used a Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon NuNaturals NuStevia Simple Syrup or your favorite sweetener, to taste
  • 2” peel from lime
  • 2” peel from orange
  • 2” peel from lemon
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a slow cooker and set to High. Cook for 2-3 hours. Serve warm.
  2. Store leftover wine in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
