Rich and creamy with deep, dark flavor, you get a double dose of heat from a mug of this non-dairy, sugar-free hot cocoa!
- 2.5 cups non-dairy milk
- 1 cup coffee
- 5–6 Tbsp. cacao or cocoa powder
- 1–2 Tbsp. NuNaturals Cocoa Syrup, or other sweetener to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan and gently heat. Whisk frequently to incorporate the cacao powder.
When hot, divide between two large mugs.
I use a stevia-sweetened syrup here because I try to avoid refined sugar as much as possible, but of course, feel free to use whatever sweetener you prefer.
