Description
Easier to make but just as addictive as traditional chocolate peanut butter cups, these have the added benefit of being sugar-free. Tailor them to your tastes by using different dried fruits, nuts, or other flavored oils!
Ingredients
- 1 cup finely chopped cocoa butter
- 1/2 cup cacao or cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup unsweetened natural creamy peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp. NuNaturals Cocoa Syrup or vegan chocolate syrup
- 1/4 tsp. orange oil
- zest of 1/2 an orange
- 1/4 cup dried cherries, chopped
- cacao nibs, for topping, optional
Instructions
On a small baking pan, set out 15 mini silicone or paper muffin cups.
In a double boiler, gently melt the cocoa butter, peanut butter, and cocoa syrup. Remove from the heat and stir cacao powder, orange oil, zest, and dried cherries.
Divide the melted chocolate mixture between the muffin cups. I let them sit on the counter to firm up a little before sprinkling cacao nibs on top. Store chocolate cups in the refrigerator.
