I was in my 30s before I really started to take care of my body. My motivation back then was purely physical: I wanted to keep my weight under control. So I began running and working out, but I was still missing a vital component to improving my health: food! I didn't realize that the meat, dairy, and sugar I was consuming was undoing all of the good that running and weight-training was providing. It took me another ten years before I put it all together and today my body is fueled on a plant-based, low-fat, no sugar diet that keeps me energized, strong, and at a healthy weight.
